Forbes declared Cincinnati "A Great American City" in a new article by travel journalist John Oseid. Of course, we here in the Queen City already knew this. But it's nice to get some well-deserved recognition for general greatness!
In his article, Oseid highlights Cincinnati's examples of Art Deco architecture at the Krohn Conservatory, recently renovated Cincinnati Museum Center and Carew Tower.
"For an introduction to Cincinnati, nothing beats going up to the Observation Deck atop the 49-story Carew where you can see firsthand how the city, despite plenty of rapid transformations, retains much of its historic bearing," Oseid wrote.
The article also points visitors to exhibits at the Museum Center, Cincinnati Art Museum, American Sign Museum, Taft Museum and the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, and to local landmarks like Eden Park, "booming" Over-the-Rhine and the Roebling Bridge.
Even though we're already here enjoying the Queen City every day, it's still pretty good advice for places to stop and soak in the history, art and culture of Cincinnati.
