Millennial buyers said having a lawn is the most important feature when purchasing or renting a home. According to a recent research from National Association of Landscape they said 82 % of millennial said that a large yard was important. "American have a great appreciation for the value that healthy lawns bring to their lives." While some may assume the trends towards urbanization or the increased use of electronics and technology have resulted in a decreased interest in lawns among younger Americans, the result of this research found just the opposite was true.
The survey also revealed that many millennial would rather buy a fixer-upper with a large lawn than a new build on a smaller lot. Younger, fist-time home buyers want space to grow a family and and to have pets be able to play outside and plant flower and vegetable gardens.
